What to Look for When Answering the Questions:

What do you need for each question?

1. Habitat:
Environment needed, where do they live? (Country, geographical location, continent), temperature/climate, do they live in packs/alone? what type of house/cover?

2. Diet:
Omnivore, herbivore, carnivore.  What specifically do they eat? (if you say berries, what specific berries, strawberries, blueberries)
Where do they fall on the food web? Are they at the top, or the bottom and why?

3. Adaptations:
In this section you must find at least 3 adaptations that help this organism in it's environment now.  Please find more than 3 though because you may want to use other adaptations. List the adaptations, but also list how they help them as of right now.

4. What is your animal related to?
Talk about the different species that are related to your organism.  Research and see if you can find past prehistoric animals that are related to yours or where it may have evolved from.  Give the scientific names for your organism.

5. How does your animal reproduce?
Who cares for the babies? Asexual or sexual reproduction? Where do they build their nests? Do they lay eggs or have live birth? How many babies live to adulthood? What environment do they need in order to reproduce? Do they come back during certain times of the year?

6. Does your Animal have any current predators?
What things eat your animal? If your animal is the predator, explain why it is at the top? Is there anything that is killing your organism? (humans, weather, human impact on their environment)

7. What types of events/things are currently impacting the environment that your organism lives in? (Think volcanoes, weather, human impact, global warming) These are things that might cause your organism to have to separate or move away from it's current environment.
